Copper Sulphate

Copper sulfate is mostly used to control cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) in pond water. Dense blooms of cyanobacteria cause night-time depletion of oxygen and increased carbon dioxide concentrations, as well as high pH fluctuation during the day. Copper sulphate can be used as a herbicide in aquatic environments to control the growth of algae and unwanted plants. Copper sulphate has historically been used in many countries as a chemotherapeutic to control and treat diseases in freshwater and marine aquarium and aquaculture fish, and to eliminate snails from aquaculture ponds.

Benefits: Copper sulphate is effective against a wide range of fungal diseases. Copper sulphate is used in aquaculture also for a variety of purposes, including control of the blue-green algae, treating for certain diseases and parasites, eliminating mollusks from ponds, and avoiding fouling of fish cage netting. Copper Sulphate is the best option for Algae Removal.

Application: Mix 1 kg of Copper Sulphate in 10 lts. of water and broadcast evenly in the pond.

Dosage: 1-2 kgs of powder per acre depending upon pond condition.

Caution: This product is for Aquatic animal use only, Not for Human consumption. Does not contain any Antibiotics/Hormones.
